Forestwell offers teas born from the ancient tea landscapes of Yunnan—some from wild trees growing deep within primitive rainforest, others from old semi-wild groves cultivated by Indigenous communities over generations. In these high-elevation tropical forests, tea trees grow in living relationship with mist, rain, deep-rooted soils, and extraordinary biodiversity, developing a character that reflects the land itself. All of the tea we offer comes from government-certified ancient tea trees, allowing each cup of Forestwell tea to be traced back to a living tree with history. For centuries, tea has been part of daily life for the communities who live beside these forests, valued not only as a drink, but as part of a broader cultural and ecological tradition. Many of the trees grow near Indigenous villages in largely self-sustaining environments, with only occasional pruning and careful stewardship. They are never pushed by industrial methods—no pesticides, no chemical fertilizers, no artificial additives. After harvest, the leaves are traditionally sun-dried on the high plateau, preserving the purity and living character of the tea with minimal intervention.
