About

Our Origin Story...

Tea has been an integral part of my life.

My father pressed tea cakes for the important years of my life — the year I was born, the year I came of age. Some of my earliest memories are of drinking tea with my parents, learning to notice the sweetness that returns after a sip, known as hui gan 回甘, and the subtle presence of cha qi 茶气 — the way a good tea can feel alive in the body.

Tea was never just a drink in our family. My grandfather came from tea-growing people in Yunnan, and through him, tea became part of how we understood land, tradition, patience, and care. It shaped my sense of nature and identity so deeply that I want to share this joy with you.

Over the decades, my father tasted, collected, and stored many kinds of tea, with a special devotion to Pu’erh. Each tea we share is rooted in that long accumulation of experience — not in marketing language, but in years of drinking, learning, comparing, and waiting.

Now after over 20 years of accumulation, we are finally ready to present you our collections.

ForestWell Tea began from this inheritance. We sell tea because we know it personally. We choose each tea because we believe it carries something real: a traceable origin, careful storage, honest flavor, and a living connection to the trees, mountains, and people behind it.
