Born on Nannuo Tea Mountain in Menghai, Yunnan, this aged Pu’erh comes from one of China’s historic ancient tea mountains. Nannuo sits on the west bank of the Lancang River at an elevation of around 1,680 meters, where mist, cloud, mountain air, and forest soil shape the leaves slowly over time.
Made from Nannuo large-leaf sun-dried maocha and pressed with traditional steaming and stone-pressing techniques, this tea carries the quiet depth of aged Yunnan tea: mellow, smooth, warming, and full of mountain character.
The dry cake shows broad, compressed leaves with a rustic aged fragrance of old wood, dried leaves, mountain herbs, and soft forest sweetness. Once brewed, the liquor opens clear and bright, shifting from golden amber to deeper orange through later infusions. The texture is gentle and rounded, with a calm aged depth rather than sharp bitterness.
Unlike young raw Pu’erh made for intensity, this aged Nannuo tea is quiet but persistent. Each steep reveals a different layer: forest wood, soft earth, dried fruit, herbal sweetness, and a lingering huigan 回甘 that slowly returns in the throat and tongue. It is grounding, steady, and deeply drinkable — a tea for slow afternoons, contemplative sessions, and anyone who loves the warmth of aged mountain tea.
